Easter Flowers For You
Happy Easter!
I hope you are having a wonderful Easter week. I know my kids are because they are in College and they both have nice Spring Breaks in California. It's also been beautiful here in Tucson the weather is so perfect!
I painted Easter flowers and pansies for a couples weeks with my Mentor because they are intricate flowers and they don't last long in our climate. I loved painting them, and it seems with flowers, the looser I get with my brush strokes the more I like the finished paintings. My Mentor said she loved my "Bravado" and I had to ask her what she meant. She told me she enjoyed the strength in which I applied bold colors with a bravery in laying them down. I really liked that compliment, because I find it really exciting to paint with an intent on making a free flowing, loose piece. I'm happy it's working : ). Painting this way also feels rewarding because I have a finished piece in a day.
I had a lot of fun painting these, I hope it comes through to you as the viewer. Now it's time to work on my larger piece and buckle down to small details again.
I hope you have a joy filled Easter!
